Overview
Intelligent Chatbot Solutions
Vutura, a product by Telkom Indonesia, is an AI-powered platform designed to provide smart business solutions through chatbots. With the tagline #NoCodeNoWorries, it aims to offer a user-friendly experience, accessible even to non-technical users.
My Responsibilities
Transitioning Graphic Designer into my first UI Designer role at Vutura, I contributed to the development of the no-code chatbot platform and landing pages to support the company’s marketing strategies. This experience helped me understand holistic product design and working in a cross-functional team.
Process
The Product
Vutura’s core products are the No-Code Chatbot Dashboard and the Landing Page, both integral to business processes and marketing efforts.
Platform No-Code Chatbot Dashboard
The No-Code Chatbot Dashboard allows users to easily design simple interaction logic between chatbots and humans. Key features include conversation flows, responses, and conditional logic for handling unexpected queries. Users can integrate the chatbot with messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Facebook Messenger, or live chat on websites/apps. This automation streamlines workflows, enhances customer service, and boosts engagement.

When I joined Vutura, had already been developed by the engineering team. My first task was to revamp the visual aspects of the dashboard. At that time, I was the only role on the product design team. I focused on establishing design fundamentals, including color palettes, fonts, layout structures, grid systems, and icon styles.

Landing Page
The Vutura landing page provides essential tools and information for the business and marketing teams, also acts as a gateway to the no-code chatbot dashboard, along with links to support and pricing pages.

However, the development process faced challenges with misalignments in the information architecture, causing delays in its creation.

Challenges & Learning
Team Collaboration
At Vutura, I began my journey as a UI Designer with limited understanding of collaboration, as it was my first professional role in the field. I was introduced to a wide range of roles, including developers (Frontend, Backend, QA, and AI Engineers), product design team members (UI Designers, UX Designers, UX Researchers, and UX Writers), and teams from business, marketing, and social media.
Vutura operated across two offices: Bandung, where I was based with the development team, and Jakarta, where the rest of the product design team, along with business and marketing, were located. Online meetings were a key part of our collaboration, and adapting to remote teamwork posed challenges, especially as we were all relatively new to our respective roles. Despite these hurdles, we embraced design sprints to streamline our workflow and improve outcomes.

Being in Bandung alongside the developers provided me with valuable insights into product development. I participated in sprint grooming sessions, where I was responsible for design handoffs. My background in computer science helped me understand design-to-code processes and effectively deliver designs to the frontend team.
At Vutura, work often felt like a continuous learning experience. I gained knowledge of frameworks like Scrum and Design Sprint and discovered the value of contributing holistically to a product. This experience not only fueled my passion for UI design but also taught me the importance of creating meaningful impacts for the company and its users.
